Traveling With Peach Riot: How to Pack Figures Without Damage

Traveling with Peach Riot figures may seem a bit much However if you like taking pictures setting up a desk display, or just having something to express yourself packing smart is essential to protect your figure so it arrives at your destination looking the same as it did when you packed it.

First, remove any accessories that may be attached like detachable hands props or other pieces, Packing loosely held accessories with a figure can result in a lot of friction that can cause paint rubs or even broken pieces, I like to use zip pouches or labeled section pill containers to keep everything organized.

You’ll want to avoid bubble wrap when trying to protect the figure’s paint as it can cause pressure marks. Instead lightly wrap the figure with a cotton wrap or other similar materials. For moisture concerns use a t-shirt to wrap the figure. For extra protection on longer trips you can place the wrapped figure in a hard case or glasses case before packing it in your suitcase.

Positioning figures near clothes like pillows, or hoodies can help, as they can help absorb any shocks. However, you should avoid placing the figure near shoes or electronics to avoid any potential for pressure caused to warp the vinyl over time.

A quick traveling tip to protect your figure: If you’re flying, it’s better to take your figure in your personal bag instead of checked luggage. Generally, vinyl handles cabin pressure changes just fine, but it can be damaged by rough handling during your flight.

One small but very important note: Avoid leaving your figure in extreme heat. Don’t leave it in a hot car or in direct sunlight, Vinyl can soften and warp and we definitely don’t want that to happen to your figure especially if it has thin sculpted parts like hair strands.

When you arrive be sure to unpack your figure first and let it sit upright on a sturdy surface for a little bit, This will give it a chance to return to its normal uncompressed shape if it was packaged really tightly during transit.

Traveling with Peach Riot is only a little risky, but it can definitely be done. Just a little careful planning is all it takes, and your figure will be ready for photos at your destination.
