Are Peach Riot Figures for Display or Play? Here’s How I use Mine Daily
When I purchased my first Peach Riot figure I said to myself “This is just for display. ” You know how that turns out. Within a week it had moved from the shelf to my desk to my nightstand and back to my shelf. It was clearly living a full life. That’s when I first realized that Peach Riot figures fall right in the middle between display and use.
These figures are amazing to display You can clearly see the paint details and the sculpted hair and expressive faces look best when viewed at eye level not buried in a shelf. To make use of my figure I just a little elevated my Peach Riot figure a bit by using a small riser (or honestly a stacked art book). The riser will not block any of the other figures and it will make dusting easier. I recommend using a makeup brush to dust it about once a week to avoid scratching the paint.
But I don’t want to treat them like fragile museum pieces One Peach Riot figure lives on my desk and I like to reposition it all the time depending on my mood. If you are also desk positioning, you want to consider how stable it is. If you choose a desk figure look for a good balance in the feet as well. Flatter soles mean fewer accidental tip overs during typing marathons.
I also prefer rotating figures rather than leaving them all out It can be damaging to leave figures out for a long time because it exposes them to sunlight and fades their colors. While a window can bring some natural beauty to a space it can also be a source of harm to figures.
“Play” can be a bit insulting to the hobby I don’t mean to sound condescending but I don’t abuse the figures or do any of the things you mentioned, I take pictures of them and let them be a part of my daily life. I do enjoy it when they have a lot of accessories but I also enjoy it when they aren’t spread all over the place. I keep all my accessories in a labeled container.
So are Peach Riot figures for display or play I’d say they are for both, They are happiest when they are out of their boxes but they don’t like being mistreated. The best display is the one that works with your lifestyle and allows you to interact with the figures however you like on a daily basis.
